Redding Homes update on Inventory,REO's and Short Sales

The current inventory level of the Shasta Association of Realtor's shows that
1536 Homes are active and available.
116 REO's or Bank owned homes
200 Short Sales available
The greater Redding Ca area has experienced decreases in values but nothing like other areas of California and the Nation as a whole.
As a percentage we have approx 20% of the sales coming from both REO's and Short Sales.This is Much lower when compared with area's like Stockton and some other valley cities!
Interest rates appear very favorable and there is a first time home buyer credit that is in place!
